Logo exploration 02 / v07-v14

Less literal. More ownable.

This pass removes the obvious developer-tool vocabulary and treats Holmes as a serious brand: guarded memory, private evidence, hidden signal, and long-lived institutional context.

v07 Memory Monolith
v10 Archive Sigil
v11 Vault Seal
v13 Pinned Stamp

No Literal Tech

No database stacks, magnifiers, checkmarks, brackets, clouds, graphs, or routing diagrams as the main idea.

Owned Shape

The mark should be recognizable from silhouette alone, before color, wordmark, or product UI explains it.

Quiet Severity

Holmes should feel trusted and serious, but not like enterprise security clip art or generic AI infrastructure.

Hidden Signal

The emotional idea is the one useful remembered thing inside noise: source-backed, retained, and inspectable.

v07 / Memory Monolith

Holmes

Best mystery and memorability. It suggests a guarded memory chamber without becoming a literal vault.

v08 / Seal Knot

Holmes

Custom and expressive, with continuity and a kept signal. Needs simplification for tiny use.

v09 / Red Thread

Holmes

Most narrative: finding the one path through context. Distinctive, but the maze read is strong.

v10 / Archive Sigil

Holmes

Strongest developer-infrastructure abstraction: severe, simple, and nearly wordmark-ready.

v11 / Vault Seal

Holmes

Premium and memorable. The diagonal cut gives it motion without becoming a technical diagram.

v12 / Proof Star

Holmes

Immediate and iconic, but closer to generic premium/star territory. Useful as an accent system.

v13 / Pinned Stamp

Holmes

Simple, memorable, and wordmark-friendly. Risks reading like a C unless refined.

v14 / Guarded Passage

Holmes

Artful and unique. Strong atmosphere, but less compact than the best app-icon candidates.

v07 logo

Recommended direction

Guarded memory. One signal kept.

v07 is the cleanest departure from the boring technical set. It has the most ownable silhouette and the strongest emotional read without abandoning the product's trust/evidence posture.

1. v07 Memory Monolith

Best master mark candidate. Iterate by flattening edges, tightening the aperture, and testing a one-color version.

2. v10 Archive Sigil

Best if you want more developer-infrastructure seriousness and less mystery.

3. v11 Vault Seal

Best for premium memorability. Needs care to avoid becoming too abstract or decorative.

4. v13 Pinned Stamp

Most versatile lockup shape. Refine away the accidental C read.
