# Holmes logo exploration v43-v48

This pass aims for the middle ground the project needs: unique and memorable, but less geeky than the terminal/database/trace-heavy directions.

The product fit is still Holmes-specific:

- local-first memory for coding agents
- context that survives agent switches and long sessions
- team-owned memory that compounds across work
- scoped handoffs with useful context, not raw chat logs
- source-backed recall and durable operating knowledge

The isolated logo files are crops from the exact generated boards. They are not redrawn approximations.

## Recommendation

Advance v44 Context Passport first.

It is the strongest middle-ground idea in this run. It makes Holmes feel like the owner-controlled passport for your working context: portable across Claude, Codex, Cursor, and future agents, but still local-first and yours. It is less technical than the prior run while still tied to the core product.

Advance v43 Continuity Ribbon second.

It has the cleanest brand mark and app-icon potential. The H with the carried-forward ribbon can stand for continuity across sessions without needing a diagram, terminal, or memory-stack metaphor.

Advance v47 Team Memory Monogram third.

It is the best team-oriented direction. The interlocking memory cards make the shared-memory and clean-handoff story obvious without feeling like enterprise infrastructure.

Keep v45 Memory Ledger as the serious alternate.

It maps well to decisions, rules, artifacts, procedures, and evidence. It is less warm than v44/v43/v47, but it is accurate for durable engineering memory.

## Notes

v48 Trust Mark is credible for source-backed memory and governance, but it risks feeling too generic as a seal.

v46 Context Compass is understandable, but navigation is a common metaphor and less ownable than the top options.
